Out of Touch

Chief Red
On Life

Living is hard enough without all of us killing each other. I just want them gone. Not dead, but back where they belong. All I want for any of us is to be where we belong.

Synopsis

A group of Claws have broken through the fighting at Fairpark and taken up residence in the Rio Grande Railroad Department. The APCA wants to shake them lose, but the 50s are blocking them, worried about the collateral damage to Downtown that might result from an all out brawl. Resolving this situation requires finesse.

Plot

The party finds themselves in Downtown, hearing rumblings of a group of Claws having broken through the combat at Fairpark and taken residence at the Rio Grande Railroad Department. The SLCPD want this resolved amicably, and the Bureau of Domestic Logistics under nepo-baby Eric Moss want to go in guns blazing.

The catch? The Claws have ingratiated themselves with the local population by providing food, ammo, and aid to those they view as "future Lions." After convening with Chief Red, who personally requests that the party get the Claws to leave peacefully, the part meets with the Lions composed of a contingent of near twenty people, headed by young man and de-facto leader, Albus Jeffs.

They agree to bring the Lions' terms to the APCA blockade commander, Eric Moss, nephew of Frank Moss. Their terms are simple: bring us the heads of every APCA leader, disband the APCA, and the Lions will show mercy. As a negotiator, the party is allowed the company of Childress Levitt, a brutal warrior.

The negotiations go poorly, with the group learning that Eric is little more than an incompetent child with too much power. He turns his trained men on the party, reveals he has hired a gang of shit-kickers to kill the Claws, and the party is forced to flee and return to the Claws in time to warn them.

When they arrive, they find the shit-kickers embroiled in a brawl, some killing the civilians there while they "party." The party disables as many as they can, before Jeffs and the Claws join the brawl, brutally and quickly dispatching many, with Jeffs saving Cross' life in the process.

A blowout occurs between H.O.G., Sterling Cross, and Jeffs. The Claws leave, Childress Levitt and a few others remaining behind as the majority head back home, planning to bring news to the Lions about how wrong the East is.
