Jook
There is darkness within all of us, but some are consumed by it. Trained in the art of ninjutsu, Jook knows the shadows and the shadows obey his command. Dangerous with a blade but deadly with a bow, he moves unseen through the city streets. His past is written in blood and regret, the air he breathes thick with secrets never to be told.
Background
He was raised by his grandfather and his brother, but they're gone now. Destroyed by the secrets they kept — the secrets that Jook now keeps. But Jook knows something they didn't: secrets are like shadows, and shadows can be controlled.
For years, Jook has been a soldier for the Claw; a spy for the Shadow; a vessel for a spirit; a thief for his people. But is Jook's true allegiance to the Claw? To the Shadow? To the spirit? To his neighbors? To his own honor? Or to something else? That's a secret that even Jook may not know.
Personality
Jook is quiet and serious. He doesn't trust strangers and would rather put himself in harm's way than ask for a favor. His honor is unwavering, though he always seems to be hiding something.
Appearance
His black hair is thick and spiky; his eyes just as dark. When working, a mask always covers the lower half of his face and a hood shrouds his head. His leather armor (modified biker gear really) is light and flexible. His favorite weapon is a compound bow; state of the art, yet simple and accurate.
