All of the below is theory and conjecture crafted by players.
Sage Sigrid
Sage Sigrid was a Fractured of lean, wiry frame. She wielded great power and believed in freedom for Khoving and kin from giants.
Background
Sage Sigrid was one of (four?) children, the rest of her siblings were all men.
Were the Lightless Conspirators the Sage's only family?
She joined with several compatriots to revolt against giants. The first great act of the rebellion was to siege Khoving and free the Yoked from the Christened. But even with the giants away, Sage Sigrid was not powerful enough, and froze Khoving in time and place, where it remains to this day.
This act sparked the revolt in true, and Sigrid's sacrifice motivated her friends. Her dearest friend Empedocles was the most affected, and her loss motivated his intense hatred for all things of giants.
Discovery
We first discovered the way to Khoving after finding the Sandsquawk Whistle in the guard of the Mother of Kret, one of the Sage's closest friends.
On arrive at Khoving, we found the city suspended in time, a siege ongoing. The army of Yoked and Fractured were massive, surrounding the entire tiered city.
Sigrid was powerful enough to cease the flow of time, but not stand take Khoving. Was it the Christened that assured her defeat, or something more?
We discovered evidence of the siege all throughout, Khoving. Its people were subjugated, but many led happy lives. Were their deaths to be the price of freedom?
Deeper in, closer to the floating castle that housed the Christened, things became more active. The Lightless Conspirators were protected from the time dilation within their Blooded Cathedral, but they were little more than slaves to the giants will.
We defeated the Christened, but Sigrid remains frozen along with her people.
