The Ruby Lord did everything for love of her Overking, even going so far as to submit to an unjust death. Even then, her eternal vigil from the Crystal Throne did not end.
Crimson Retainers were created by the giants as servants, and made to always crave love. For the Red Court and the Ruby Lord, love came in exchange for their service: first to the giants that made them and then to Overking Yonmarl who gave them purpose in the newly created Realms. And both loves would be their undoing.
Kin do many things for glory and riches, but what they do for love always come back to them.

When tattooed onto the flesh by a Spirit Mason, imparts the following benefits:
- +1 to Support Rolls.
- When someone you love dies, you can choose to die in their place. This rejuvenates their wounds, power points, and grants 3 bennies a point of conviction, and restores them to their true self. Additionally, if in combat, the one you saved treats the remainder of their rounds as if they drew a Joker. If you die in this way, you cannot be resurrected.
