Gentleman's Gambit
The cunning weapon of a long-dead Assembly member. Can be used as a club, but its nature is revealed when separated into kris and pick.
No one in the Realms was immune to the laws that bound them, not even the Assembly. Still, mercy was available to even the most heinous of criminals. Often coupled with great acts of devotion, petitioners would walk from Realms far to prove the guilty beloved enough to deserve a second chance.
The Red Court assured the safety and passage of any such kin who walked their lands. And the Ruby Lord assured her ear.
While the Ruby Lord and the Red Court did not break their word, the same could not be said for those who trespassed with wicked intent. On the day of the Ruby Lord’s execution, there was no kin left to uphold this promise of redemption.
