Unique symbol found in place of the Ruby Lord’s vigil. Can be welded to the flesh to reveal one’s heart. Can only be tattooed on one kin.
The Crystal Vigil contained the souls of many who had committed crimes against the Realms. Rather than be killed, their soul would await for their sentence to terminate, upon which they would be reunited with their body.
Defending the Crystal Vigil was of the highest importance to the Red Court. It was the final order given, safeguarded their slain lord’s essence, and was right. But for the Ruby Lord, who’s connection to the Crystal Vigil was stronger than any’s, her motivation was far less noble.
In truth, she simply wanted to defend the souls trapped. It was her habit, and habit became instinct. When she was unwound to twine, all that was left was instinct.
But still, she had the wherewithal to hide away one soul of the greatest import to her.
