Crimson Courtesans served as able watchers and lightweight combatants of the Red Court. Eventually, all came to reside within the Crystal Vigil. It was the sacrifice of two courtesans that wrested control of the Frostpyre from the giants permanently. Sacrifice was common in the Red Court, but it was not taken lightly.
Only something of giants could order the Heart of the Forge, and so it was.
