When Pluralist exposed the Wicked Saints of Jyggalath’s treachery to the Overking, they believed they had struck the decisive blow in the secret war with their enemies. When the collected armies of the Realms arrived at Jyggalath’s border, they found it descended into the Deep Fog.
And yet the Missionaries still roam. For Empedocles, whose hatred of giants ran deep and for whom the Saints stood as an ideological opponent, this was unacceptable. His ire was directed towards the complete destruction of all things from the Saints.
So much so, he forwent every attachment and friendship he held dear. When he struck out against friend rather than foe, he lost more than just his body.
