Family Crest of Empedocles. The only belonging he retained from before the giants.

Empedocles would hold this emblem close, and honor banished memories with Pluralist. He drove progress in the Realms, but never while looking forward.

He mourned the bonds he couldn’t know he lost, and yet chose to lose the ones he made. An irony that was lost on him until his final moments; perhaps if someone convinced him it was not too late, things could have been different.
