When the Ephemeral Essence began to run out, the Pluralists turned mindless. Empedocles and the Physicians hoarded the remaining essence to prolong themselves—save Leonhard. He abandoned the garb of a Physician and saw Steam Town through its final days of abandonment.
Kin struggled to be free of giants for so long, they didn’t stop to think what life would be without them. They were not ready for the question: die who we are, or live forever?
Dean Leonhard found his answer, and now his husk remains at vigil in the Ephemeral Plant, awaiting some kin to put him to rest.
