Homeward Bond
Overking Yonmarl presented these five heavy blankets to his friends in the rebellion against giants. Bonds that tie never truly die.
The Overking never desired war or peace: just freedom and to find something lost. While he arguably never succeeded in either goal, he built the Realms off the back of inexorable friendships between kin never designed to work together.
The Mother of Kret would later present the last tattered fragment of these threads to the Crimson Clerk delivering news of the Ruby Lord’s death, symbolically and literally divesting herself of the Realms altogether—to take up her suicidal vigil.
Uses
- Once per every ten days, may be used to transport 7 or less kin towards a selected Homeward destination. This destination is permanently set on the first use of this item. After this, an additional Homeward destination may be selected, up to 3 times, so long as the user has been to this location (Total: 4 destinations)
- May teleport back to the location this blanket was last used from while in a Homeward location. The ten day cooldown period only functions when outside of this Homeward location.
- The thread is sensitive to damage. It cannot be used in adverse conditions or combat and is liable to be destroyed by the stress if attempted.
