Happy Mask
Porcelain mask worn by the Pale-Faced artist, Sebastian. The expression on the mask should reflect the soul of its wearer, but seems to have been affixed with its previous owner’s disposition.
The Pale-Faced were a failed attempt to bring kin closer to the form of giants. Abducted by Missionaries and brought to Jyggalath for grotesque experiments, all of them were divested of their memories of a previous life. Attempts to bring these memories back largely failed, and it was as if those parts of the soul had been burned away.
Their creators were of many opinions, but some Saints believed they were still the path to salvation and immortality. Indeed, this favoritism shone through as one Wicked Saint in particular continued sending Missionaries out, creating creation after creation, even now.
Her actions were not born from love, but desperation that filled the heart of every Saint of Jyggalath. This affectation was no different. It is merely an experiment, and nothing more. But that would not stop a tremendous soul from appreciating the gift nonetheless.
